Newport Aquarium Trip
Groups of families from Afterschool Programs of Lancaster take a trip to the Newport Aquarium located in Kentucky. They walked through multiple exhibits filled with all kinds of creatures from the ocean! Sea horses, sharks, turtles, star fish, and more!
Buckeye
Cares 2023
The Buckeye Cares program is making a donation to Afterschool Programs of Lancaster with every car they sell.
Medill's Dr. Seuss Literacy Night.
Medill Community Learning Center participants helped organize and prepare for a Dr. Seuss themed Literacy Night. Students dyed green eggs for Green Eggs and Ham and made Dr. Seuss fruit hats for a snack. Students and families rotated through 4 Literacy based events and was able to sign up for Library Cards through the Fairfield County District librarian!
BFF Conference
Afterschool Programs of Lancaster presented at the Ohio Afterschool Network Best Foot Forward Conference in February sharing innovative STEAM products and how to connect them to academic standards. Participants experienced Cubelets, Ozobots, Coding Critters, OSMO, 3Doodle Pens, Snap Circuits, Squishy Circuits, & More!
